Jax Hat 2008

FOURTH ANNUAL
JAX HAT ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT
SATURDAY, JULY 26, 2008

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

New 07/25: Tournament is full.

07/21:
We have 84 registrations. Most have paid, but not everyone. Registration does not guarantee you a spot - you must pay to hold a spot. Shirts have been ordered.

The first 84 people we receive money from get a spot. Sign-up fee: $10 until July 19; after July 19 the fee goes up to $15 and you won't be guaranteed a team T-shirt. We must have your money in our possession to guarantee your spot.

Anyone who signs up beyond No. 84 will be put on a waiting list in case someone who has paid does not show up or in case an injured player cannot continue. Rain or shine, be at the fields at Community Park in Jacksonville, Illinois, by 8:30 a.m. July 26. Lightening will delay games.

Be prepared to play five games. We plan to provide lots of water, some bananas, some Gatorade, granola bars, and bagels. It's a good idea to bring a white shirt and dark shirt as backup.

Technorati

Technorati Profile

I'm just posting this so I can mess around with Technorati.

Saturday, October 15, 2005

We had our first Saturday Ultimate pickup game today, from 12:30 p.m.-3 p.m. at the corner of Clay and College avenues -- that's on MacMurray's campus. That's going to be our regular meeting time for a while. Come out sometime and join us.

We're playing Ultimate tomorrow in Springfield, too, if that's better for you.

U.S. Senator Barack Obama was the speaker at the conference I went to yesterday. He was fairly interesting. It was a little odd to see stories on the AP wire about the speech. I  could have gotten myself in position to get a hand shake and/or had my picture taken with him, but that also seemed a little unnecessary. Politics really isn't my thing.

OK, lots to do at work today. I better get to it.
